Tiffany & Co. has officially launched its new “Tiffany Loc” collection, drawing on the archives to rethink the symbolic idea of the padlock. Arriving as a token of unity and inclusiveness, the stylish bracelets feature an innovative swivel mechanism that took over a year to develop and is found in different combinations of white gold, yellow gold, rose gold and pavé diamonds.
Founded in 1837, Tiffany & Co. continued to produce functional padlocks well into the 1950s and then continued to use the heritage designs on its necklaces and other accessories. The new Tiffany Lock bracelets are unisex, suitable for wrists up to 6.25 inches, and will undoubtedly appeal to a younger generation, competing with the likes of Cartier’s Love bracelet. “No rules. All welcome. Tiffany Lock is a new bracelet collection for everyone,” the LVMH brand writes in the description.
“Tiffany Lock is an elegant interpretation of a functional archival design. Defined by modern, clean lines and a revolutionary clasp mechanism, Tiffany Lock represents an exciting new mainstay for our diamond and gold jewelery offering. We are delighted to unveil our latest icon,” writes Tiffany & Co. executive Alexandre Arnault.
The new Tiffany Lock collection is now available on line and will be available in stores from September. Additional styles will be released in January 2023. Prices range from $6,800 to $32,000 USD.
