What more could you ask for on an early spring Friday than eye jewelry?
That’s exactly what you’ll get with Inspired Creations, the wonderfully exciting and incredibly detailed new series from Studio Tara.
An appropriate name, the line includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings and a brooch, in addition to the rings featured here. Although each piece is a work of art in its own right, one look at these rings might find you as mesmerized as I am, taking into account not only the whimsical and lovely details, but also the bright colors and warm gold and satin used.
Lapis, jade, onyx, and carnelian set the scene in these rings, with bodies that mirror the mainstream’s popular chunky gold pieces, but they’re made entirely of stone.
I’m particularly struck by the onyx variations – with a flair for the dramatic, the warm gold is intoxicating as it takes the form of diamond-studded elephants and winged companions.
I would also like to highlight the bracelets in the collection: “Made from an amalgam of three noble metals, these bracelets are a message that we are part of a greater entity”, according to the notes on the collection. “The symbols form the patterns on the bracelets, each in different languages as well. This creation is inspired by the one thing that, ironically, keeps us all together: diversity.
Founded in 2001 by designer Bharathi Raviprakash in Chennai, India, Studio Tara owes its name to the Hindi word for Star. The brand is a destination for colorful and unique jewelry that will persist as wearable works of art.
