People’s Choice Awards at Las Vegas Market Highlight 5 Cool Products

Five cool products have won top honors in a competition at the summer edition of the Las Vegas Market taking place this week at the World Market Center. ‘

Twice a year, the show holds its People’s Choice Market Snapshot Awards. This season, products with natural patterns, innovative qualities and ergonomic designs landed top spots in the Las Vegas Market Summer 2022 awards.

The Las Vegas Market, operated by International Market Centers, is held twice a year in summer and winter for home decor and furniture trade experts to showcase, explore and purchase the latest products and trends in home decor, furniture and clothing.

The Marketplace Snapshot honors the best products in four categories – Furniture, Home Decor, Gifts & Gifts, and Temporary Home Exhibits. This year’s winners are:

The Fusion Designs Henning Collection and Palecek’s Camilla Fossilized Clam Console Table both tied for first place.

The Henning collection includes an egg-shaped table with a bench and chair designed to fit. The bespoke collection fully customizable down to the species, finish and size of the wood.

“All of our products are made by Amish, so they stand out,” said Norm Shrock, vice president of sales at Fusion Designs. “It’s a very unique piece. Most people don’t have a curved bench.

Fusion Designs primarily manufactures dining room and bedroom pieces and produces all of its furniture in Indiana.

The other winner, Palecek’s Camilla Fossilized Clam Console Table, has a sturdy and natural look. Cast from the mold of a tree trunk, the table has a soft cream color with a grainy, natural finish.

In interior decoration, the Frida table planter by Deconcepto took first place.

“This planter was designed by my mother,” said Deconcepto representative Maria Ines Alvarez. “We wanted to make a planter that had something Mexican about it, and also something modern about it.”

This planter is designed to look like the iconic painter Frida Kahlo with her signature single eyebrow and adorned with a crown of flowers. Available in black and white, the 22-inch planter is constructed from fiberglass to withstand outdoor conditions.

Deconcepto is based and produced in Mexico, which manufactures fiberglass planters and pots.

This year, the Maya J Bracelet hair tie took first place in the gift category.

“Anyone who wears a hair tie always puts it on their wrist, making it a bracelet,” said Alan Levine, owner of Maya J. “They’re fashion-forward, they’re made of chain links, and so, therefore, everyone loves them.

The small hair ties are designed to look – and also to be worn – like bracelets, each adorned with a small gold chain link. Dual purpose ties can be used to accessorize their hair or wrists and are available in five chain styles and colored enamels.

Levine said he also took the product to AmericasMart Atlanta, also run by International Market Centers, and was “flying off the shelves.”

Temporary exhibitions gifts and home

People’s Choice for Temporary Exhibits went to Shaaksaz Willow Wicker Craft Producer Company Ltd. and Kadam Haat’s Lighting Pendant.

This pendant light is a trellis woven from biodegradable wood sourced from non-timber forests. The pendant is available in three different sizes and comes in a dark ash brown color.

“You don’t see too many lights, pendant lights like this,” said Shaaksaz representative Payal Nath.

The manufacturing process of the pendants is “thorough”, but leaves the product smooth and of high quality.

“So the color borders that you see (are) all black. So it’s actually a completely organic ashy color, which was used when processing the wicker,” Nath said. “The second thing that’s interesting is that most willow products you’ll see contain bark; now here they removed each piece one by one.
