Lincolnwood Police Desk Pad: Burglary

Residential burglary

Earrings, rings, bracelets and bangles and $5,000 in cash were stolen Aug. 23 from a residence in the 6700 block of Karlov Avenue, police said. The missing items had an estimated value of $35,000.

Possession of Stolen Property

Anthony M. Miller, 26, of the 2800 block of W. Lunt Avenue, Chicago, Candy Ely, 24, of the 6700 block of W. 87th Street, Burbank, and Mercedes Ely, 25, of the 2800 block of W. Lunt Avenue were all charged with possession of stolen property during an incident in Lake Forest after they were all located in the 4700 block of Touhy Avenue following a traffic violation, the police said. police.

Anthony Miller has also been charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle, possessing burglary tools, driving with an expired registration and driving with a suspended/revoked license.

Mercedes Ely was also charged with obstructing identification and was arrested on an outstanding Elgin warrant.

They were taken to bail court with no further information available.


Robert Z. Ljubic, 26, of the 5000 block of Farwell Avenue, Skokie, was charged Aug. 24 with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested in the 6800 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, a said the police. He was released on bail and has a court date scheduled for October 7.
