5 Times Anushka Sharma Proved Why Sabyasachi Will Always Be Our Favorite Fashion

Low-key Diwali celebrations are certainly not the norm in Bollywood. Luckily for us, the festival is also the most opportune time of the year to find inspiration for second-hand outfits. And this year was no different. From shararas and sarees to lehengas and kurtas, the film industry’s biggest stars have stepped out in a host of must-have Indian ethnic ensembles. Among the best dressed celebrities was Anushka Sharma. On Saturday evening October 27, 2019, the 31-year-old actor, accompanied by his husband Virat Kohli, was seen at Anil Kapoor’s Diwali party at his Mumbai residence, wearing a multicolored Sabyasachi lehenga. Take a look at her outfit below.

Sabyasachi lehenga by Anushka Sharma celebrated bright colors and beautiful craftsmanship

There’s no denying that Anushka Sharma loves Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s designs. She chose a designer blush lehenga for her wedding, and more recently she chose a red Sabyasachi saree for Karva Chauth. On Saturday, the star chose a multicolored lehenga from designer “Charbagh’s” winter/bridal 2019 collection. The piece, which belongs to the Chowk category of the collection, is perfect for brides who like to experiment with their look. Borrowing colors and craft techniques from her past collections, Mukherjee’s lehenga was paired with a deep V-neck black blouse accented with delicate floral threads. Meanwhile, the lehenga skirt featured multiple color-blocked panels in vibrant shades of orange, purple, and even ice blue. Each panel was punctuated by domed architectural structures in contrasting tones.

The finishing touch to Anushka Sharma’s outfit was matched with jewelry from Sabyasachi Jewelry. Her choice: an eye-catching choker and earring set, worn with layered bracelets, allencrusted with colored gemstones. The actor’s hair was pulled back in a ponytail and his makeup included smoky eyes, bare lips and a dewy base. Virat Kohli complemented Sharma in a white Nehru jacket and Sabyasachi kurta.

Brides who love vintage-style bohemian outfits can take inspiration from Anushka Sharma’s book and invest in a multicolored lehenga for their sangeet.
